A heavy yielding, late season mango in south India, it has regular bearing habit. Fruits are medium sized with good flavour. Flesh is soft, yellow and fibreless. Keeping quality is good.
Neelam mango grows in many areas of India and Pakistan. The more famous Pakistani varieties are from the Sindh region, the famous Indian varieties from the South of India.
All said and done, this is a very fragrant fruit and highly relished by mango fans all over the world. Neelam mango's desirability transcends the human race- animals love it, birds trust their young ones with this mango. It is indeed surprising how humans still manage to save some for themselves.
Its peaks around the end-of-June, although it can be found as early as May.
I had best Mangoes of this season, I'm not exaggerating I had carton box of Organic Mango's from S.R MANGOS in my car for 45 mins and after 45 mins guys the car smelled Just Mango’s awesome feeling, I mean sweet mango smell is best. Thank you...your mangoes were wonderful! First time I have had this season!
